For Sale: 1957 Ford Thunderbird in Clearwater, Florida for sale in Clearwater, FL
Vehicle Description 1957 Ford Black Thunderbird Car History We have a gorgeous 1957 Ford Thunderbird at Adventure Classics that has been completely restored and is in the gorgeous color of Black with the black/white interior and both tops, the convertible top and the black paint matching Porthole hardtop.
A lot of collectors feel the 1957 is the best looking of the bunch with its revised and reshaped front bumper, a larger grille and tailfins, larger tail lamps, and the instrument panel was heavily re-styled with round gauges in a single pod.
Engine & Drivetrain The engine in our T-Bird is equipped with the desirable ''D'' code option which offered a 312 cubic inch V8 engine with the 4-barrell carb which had become the Thunderbird's standard engine, and now produced 245 horsepower in 1957 which was more horsepower than most other small block V8's of the time.
Ours has what looks to be a total restoration to a level matching an all original engine compartment with all the factory correct hose, clamps, accessories as well as the factory dress up kit with the correct finned Thunderbird valve covers, power steering, power brakes, cast iron factory exhaust headers, and the correct chrome air cleaner assembly that gets fresh air through the fully functional hood scoop.
It is backed by the Ford-O-Matic automatic transmission that shifts perfect and the exhaust system is good with a great sound and the car wears a set of stock steel wheels, original hubcaps, and wide-white wall tires.
Interior Ours has a lot of paperwork and shows it was ordered and heavily optioned with the hardtop, engine dress up kit, wipers, Fordomatic automatic transmission, power steering and brakes, Dialamatic seat, whitewall tires, Signal seeking radio, fender shields, heater and defroster, and back up lights.
You will like the pleated black and white vinyl interior with door panels that match as well as the dash.
The dash consists of the factory tach and gauges and pushbutton radio system with the gauges in original condition and look great in the machine turned dash.
It has correct black carpets, T-Bird black/chrome steering wheel, chrome automatic shifter on the floor, accessory gauges, and that black padded dash.
Exterior The paint is super looking as it flows over the bodywork with fit and finish that are nicely done and is very deep and shiny looking.
The graceful fins and body lines has straight panels and the taillight end caps round out the rear end of the car.
Other details like the Thunderbird badges, hood scoop, mirror and antennae, rear bumper with integrated exhaust outlets, and the stainless trim on the fender skirts are all great, plus it also comes with both the convertible top and the Thunderbird's famous porthole hardtop comes in black.
Conclusion The 1957 Ford Thunderbird we have at Adventure Classics is totally a beauty in black, from top to bottom, and is fun to drive anywhere.
You will enjoy the iconic Thunderbird look as well as the looks you will get just on that Porthole top alone.
