For Sale: 1995 Chevrolet Impala in Clearwater, Florida for sale in Clearwater, FL
Vehicle Description 1995 Impala SS Car History In 1994, a new Chevrolet performance car, the 1994 Impala SS, went into production.
It was, in essence, a high-performance version of the Caprice heavily based on the Caprice 9C1 police package.
As such, it got much of the equipment formerly available only to law enforcement and government agencies including a sport-tuned suspension with reinforced shocks and springs, a high-capacity reverse-flow cooling system (derived from the Corvette's LT1), four-wheel disc brakes, transmission cooler, dual exhaust, a higher-output electrical system, and other minor mechanical and electrical alterations.
1995 was the second year of production and we have one here at Adventure Classics in Dark Cherry Metallic, one of the only three colors they came in.
Engine & Drivetrain The Impala SS is a true legend because it came with the famous Corvette LT1 V8 engine making 260 horsepower and 330 lb?ft of torque that looks factory stock and clean in the equally clean and detailed engine bay.
The LTI Impala engine has cast-iron cylinder heads instead, a camshaft that was designed more for low-end torque than high-end horsepower, and the block casting for the Impala LT1 had two-bolt main bearing caps while the casting used for the Corvette LT1 had four-bolt main bearing caps.
Our Impala SS was fitted with a standard 3.
08 gear and limited-slip rear differential and the suspension was an inch lower and the transmission is a 4L60E which was an electronically controlled version of the previously hydraulically controlled 4L60.
It comes with power steering, ABS, four-wheel disc brakes, a limited-slip rear end, desirable de Carbon shocks, and factory mag wheels with black sidewall sport tires Interior This is loaded grey factory twin bucket seat interior with the best features like power windows, power locks, keyless entry, cruise control, a powerful AM/FM/CD stereo, and ice-cold air conditioning, dual power seats, automatic headlights, and an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, which were part of the Preferred Equipment Group.
But more than luxurious, the Impala SS is one of the final few performance vehicles that has room for all your family and friends.
But if your plans for this are a road trip machine, you'd be the first.
The original owner utilized the ample trunk for a custom car show display, not the family's luggage.
Exterior The factory Dark Cherry Red paint on ours was a first year option and looks very deep and shiny in the light and evenly rolls off of the sheet metal.
Everything on this one is in great condition, from the urethane bumpers, to the body-colored Impala SS badges that adorn the flanks.
Our Impala SS received body-colored trim, a unique single-bar grille with no hood ornament, and a rear deck spoiler.
Conclusion If you missed your opportunity at buying a brand-new example of one of the last great full-size muscle cars, this 1995 Impala SS the closest thing to a second chance.
