Vehicle Description 1970 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Car History We use the term like a time capsule sparingly here at Adventure Classics, but this 1970 Chevrolet Monte Carlo we have here justifies using that term.
It truly does look just like it did the day it left the factory.
The styling was so special for the 1970 Monte Carlo as it was distinguished by its chromed rectangular grille with two horizontal dividers, a centered chrome and red crest emblem adorned by a Corinthian helmet, a thin hood spear with no vertical hood ornament, round headlamps with rounded chrome bezels, circular parking lamps inset into the front bumper directly below the headlamps, and taillights with chrome trim around the perimeter of the lens, only.
Engine & Drivetrain The powertrain we have in our Monte Carlo is base 350 cu in (5.
7 L) Chevrolet Turbo-Fire small-block V8 with a four-barrel carburetor rated at 300 horse, and it sits in a very well detailed engine compartment with what appears to be most if not all the original parts from the black air cleaner assembly down to the oil pan! It is mated to a console mounted 3-speed Turbo 350 automatic transmission and has front disc brakes that were standard equipment and options include Variable-ratio power steering, adjustable bucket seats, Rally wheels with Road Hugger Radial GT white letter tires.
If you look at the pictures underneath, you will see it is as clean as the top with its dual exhaust, 10-bolt rear end, shocks, and suspension all clean and super looking.
Interior The interior of our beauty matches the exterior with the superb green vinyl front bench et seat and matching rear seat, door panels, Radio System, full instrumentation, wood grain trim, green seat belts, carpeting and floor mats, and other accessories.
The as new trunk carries what appears to be its original grey Chevrolet factory tire mat, jack, factory looking decals and a spare tire.
Exterior Our beautiful monte Carlo is finished in the #48 Forest Green pint that it was born with (according to the Trim Tag) that looks awesome with great bodywork that has a great shine with chrome that is very good, the stainless has been well maintained, as well as the bumpers and the G-Code green vinyl roof that is a match to the paint.
Conclusion The 1970 Chevrolet Monte Carlo we have here at Adventure Classics has the great look of that era that neatly blends performance and luxury in a muscular package, just as Chevrolet advertised back in that year.
This is such a great example of a 1970 Monte Carlo that would be very hard to duplicate anywhere in the country and will serve you well in your collection.
