Overview
The VP, Logistics, Transportation and Warehouse management reports directly to the Senior Vice President, Operations, Americas. This role will primarily develop and manage all strategic and tactical aspects of:
North America Logistics Operations and logistics support services, including support of 3PL services that Tech Data provides to its customers
Transportation management for America's (US, Canada, Mexico and Latin America)
Inbound and Outbound Transportation support services
Warehouse facilities, operations and systems
Control of inventories in stock in the logistics centers.
Responsible for fulfillment supply chain services
In addition to US operations; provides functional support to Tech Data Latin America.

Responsible for accurate, efficient and fiscally responsible daily work and safety of all Logistics, Transportation and Warehouse departments and associates.
Oversees budget management including labor, benefits, supplies, company assets, capital investments, depreciation, maintenance and repair, and third party contracts.
Manages Tech Data's transportation plans, annual transportation budget, and cost reduction activities.
Responsible for all pick/pack/ship processes in the logistics centers.
Responsible for logistics engineering and continuous improvement initiatives in all facilities.
Responsible for developing partnerships with all Front Office functions such as Purchasing, Sales, and Product Marketing.
Delivers on SLA performance, including shrink management, as agreed upon with leadership.
Strategically adjusts departments' activities, policies and practices to meet or exceed key performance metrics and customer satisfaction goals.
Analyzes growth of Operating Company against capacities to maintain proper storage, receiving, and shipping capabilities for present and future business.
Champions' efficiency ideas, cost reduction measures and assists with the implementation of changes within areas of responsibility.
Ensures contingency systems/practices/protocols are in place to eliminate business disruption.
Oversees emergency response or crisis management activities and assists Safety Manager with training initiatives.
Active member of the Worldwide Logistics.
Plays key role in managing strategic customer relationships.
Responsible for driving continuous improvement efforts across the network, including oversight of the engineering team.
Will ensure implementation of clear and consistent SOPs across the network.
Will collaborate with and support the company's technology integration centers.
Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities and Working Conditions
Previous Work
Experience:
Minimum of 15 years' experience in logistics and warehouse operations.
Minimum of 10 years transportation management experience.
Education and Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management.
Master's Degree preferred.
Lean Six Sigma certification a plus.
Approximately up to 75% travel required.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
