Financial Analyst I

Overview
Provides analytical support to the operations department specifically regarding S&OP forecasting, SG&A budgeting, and supply chain optimization analysis. Provides regular reporting for the operations and logistics departments. Assists in the preparation and analysis of ad hoc operational and financial performance reports.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Required
May Include:
Develops models using databases and other reporting tools for forecasting logistics labor and capacity required to support sales and purchasing forecasts
Performs cost/benefit and ROI analyses on specific businesses, presents analyses to business owners
Ad hoc analyses for Logistics management teams
Maintains recurring reports tracking productivity, volume, and labor; troubleshoot issues
Compiles and loads data received from other departments utilizing spreadsheet and database applications
Assists in preparation for management reviews and budgeting activities, as required
Validates accuracy of reported values
Coordinates robust testing plans for new enhancements
Performs additional duties as assigned
Meets attendance and punctuality standards
Qualifications, Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities and Working Conditions
Associates minimum; Bachelors or above preferred.
Entry level position; Approximately 0 - 3 years experience in Accounting, Finance, or Engineering.
Works independently with appropriate level of supervision.
Uses collaborative thinking with assistance from manager or other analysts.
Possesses strong organizational, time management, and good prioritization skills in driving tasks to completion.
Ability to quickly determine source of problem and identifies information needed to solve problem.
Ability to diagnoses problems efficiently and makes sound, timely decisions.
Demonstrates a sound knowledge of the business areas and the ability to understand business issues within their particular role.
Able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Able to quickly learn new systems and technology.
Able to troubleshoot system-related problems.
Able to execute instructions and to request clarification when needed.
