Summary:
The HR Benefits Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day administration, implementation and support of all benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts & dependent care accounts, group and optional life insurance, short term disability, FMLA, ADA, COBRA, 401k and supplemental programs. Position is responsible for submission of accurate payroll data to Accounting that reflects HR transactions. Position oversees processing and tracking of vacation, medical and other leaves. Incumbent provide updates to HR team members about key issues and assists with HR project implementations, communications and events. Position provides ad hoc reports and updates to management.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Administer current benefit programs to continuously improve benefit enrollment and delivery processes, improve cost effectiveness and ensure compliance with Plan documents.
Provide customer service to employees on benefits, claims and payroll matters and follow-up as needed
Interpret and help employees understand all of the benefit plans.
Identify and solve employee and benefit problems.
Update and administer HR transactions in Payroll for Accounting
Develop and maintain positive relations with vendors. Manage current vendor relationships and monitor performance to contractual agreements.
Manage projects related to HR, payroll and benefit programs and special projects as assigned.
Build relationships with internal partners to deliver business objectives and resolve issues.
Assist with the identification, development, and installation of benefit plan design or delivery changes.
Assist with the development of communication strategies, employee communications and their delivery.
Plan and implement annual open enrollment programs.
Work with Accounting department to perform benefit plan reconciliations.
Communicate status of projects, write and disseminate benefit and payroll information.
Manage tracking of vacation and leaves such as FMLA.
Maintain and update employee information in GSP and vendor systems including HRIS administration and maintenance (PeopleTrak).
Develop, produce and distribute reports for management and compliance purposes.
Administer workers compensation.
Assist with employee events planning and implementation.

Education and
Experience:
College degree preferred with specialization in HR, business administration or related field.
Minimum three years of experience in benefits administration and payroll desired.

Qualifications, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
Knowledge of HR Laws, regulations and practices.
Knowledge of employee benefit programs and their administration.
Knowledge of worker's compensation administration.
Knowledge of 401k administration and regulations.
Ability to manage and administer various types of leaves such as PTO and FMLA.
Ability to prioritize, organize and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
A high level of self-motivation and self-management.
Ability to manage large workload, while producing quality work in a fast-pace environment with interruptions and deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to deal courteously and professionally with internal customers.
Technology proficiency with PC's to include:
Knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint), maintaining data bases, generating information and tracking status using proprietary software.
Knowledge of HRIS software such a PeopleTrak.
Operation and maintenance of time clock systems.
Ability write a variety of different types of documents and communications.
Ability to proofread copy and data.
Ability to verbally communicate with a wide range of individuals with different knowledge levels.
Must be able to explain complex information in a way that fosters understanding both in groups and with individuals.
Ability to contribute to building a strong and positive team spirit as well as align with GSP values.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
