Perform conceptual and detailed design of aircraft door and auxiliary mechanical systems, structures, and installations using CATIA V5 computer aided design. Analyze initial or revised design proposal, specifications and related engineering data to determine appropriate materials and characteristics for optimal weight, strength, and functionality. Perform structural and kinematic analysis. Prepare system layout, detail drawings, data sets, parts lists and schematics. Interact with customers to acquire design philosophy and requirements.
The position requires at least 4 years of experience as an aircraft or automotive engineer (or related position) performing structural, component, mechanism, or assembly design using CATIA v4 or v5.
Associates degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering technology, or related.
