is a small local company in Clearwater, FL.
We manufacture and distribute orthopedic braces nationally and internationally.
We are a tight-knit group of people working together and want to find someone who is a great fit and wants to stay and grow with us indefinitely! We are looking for a full-time Office/Accounting Assistant to help with various operations of the company.
The ideal candidate will be responsible, diligent, and detail oriented.
This person should be comfortable working independently and have the ability to problem solve on their own.
This position has the potential of taking on more of a heavier accounting role if desired in the future.
Currently we need someone to maintain the necessary functions while another employee goes on maternity leave, however this IS a permanent position.
After 90-day probationary period, a salary will be established.
Responsibilities General office duties such as:
ordering supplies, maintaining office workflow, etc.
Accounts Receivable:
receiving payments, sending statements, depositing checks, etc.
Accounts Payable:
paying vendors, maintaining cashflow, etc.
Monthly financial reports (only temporarily for leave of absence of an employee) Bank reconciliations Maintaining excel spreadsheets and reports as necessary Working with other departments to ensure smooth operation Covering other departments when necessary (we are all cross trained in case someone is out or sick) Other minor tasks in the areas of inventory, accounting, customer service, office management, etc.
Skills Experience with Microsoft Excel is expected Excellent organizational and time management skills Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving Professional written and verbal communication skills QuickBooks Desktop experience is desired but not required Must be comfortable with managing finances and bills Job Types:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
