In this key position as accounts payable, you will be responsible for providing accurate financial statements and accounting services by preparing and maintaining financial records as required in compliance with all federal, state, local and professional requirements.
The ideal candidate is familiar with a variety of accounting concepts, practices, and procedures to ensure accounting objectives are met.
Responsibilities include:
Efficiently and accurately assist with the close of month end for multiple entities with direction from the Accounting Manager Develop and maintain thorough knowledge and understanding of company accounting policies, financial systems, transaction processes, internal controls, and chart of accounts.
Maintain data integrity in the financial systems to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
Prepare timely and accurate customer invoicing daily and work closely with division managers and other entities to ensure accuracy and completeness of invoices.
Set up new customers and manage accounts receivable customer data in accounting system.
Send out periodic statements to customers for collections; follow up and resolve collections with customers.
Posts customer payments by recording cash, checks, ACH's and credit card transactions.
Reconcile AR accounts and resolve billing inquiries as required.
Manage AP using accounting software.
Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors.
Ensuring bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner, while communicating cash flows needs for each run.
Creating purchase orders for the multiple companies and divisions Back-Up for weekly payroll processing Processing transactions and performing bookkeeping duties such as account maintenance, managing accounting email in box, recording entries and reconciling books of accounts.
Requirements include:

years of accounts receivable/accounts payable -or- accounting experience Bilingual a plus Solid knowledge of accounting concepts and principles Detail-oriented with excellent follow up skills Must have a high-level of moral and ethical codes Well organized; Results oriented Strong organizational, analysis and analytical skills Expert systems knowledge (Excel/Word, QuickBooks, Netsuite a +) Ability to manage confidential information, multiple tasks and exercise good judgment and problem-solving skills.
Communicate effectively (verbal and written) with vendors, customers, and management.
Must be willing to travel to and work in our Tampa office 1-2 days per week.
We will compensate you for travel expenses.
