Estimator/CAD Tech-Cable/Fiberoptics

This includes everything from pre project submittal's through the project close out documents and as-built drawings.
Works with the Sales department to extract product requirements from customer provided documentation and then gathers and compiles detailed cost information for the preparation of the product bid.
Position Qualifications :
oExtremely high attention to detail.
Candidate must have strong computer and communication skills and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
1-3 years experience in Structured Cabling estimating or related field required.
oComputer skills- AutoCAD, Microsoft, word, excel, and internet.
Structured Cabling product and field installation knowledge.
Skill in updating, maintaining, operating, AutoCAD software andrelatedequipment.
Ability to clearly communicate information both verbally and in writing.
The ability to meet deadlines and work as part of a team.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities :
oUnderstand and interpret customer supplied drawings and specifications.
oPerforms drafting operations for the determination of project plans and collect data for project designs.
oDevelops and drafts engineering drawings and plans in support of contract documents and generates correspondence for managers and customer request.
oPerforms regular computer software and AutoCAD maintenance, upgrading and troubleshooting oMaintains up to date working and technical knowledge of all AutoCAD procedural and improvement changes to computer hardware and software applications applicable to AutoCAD essential requirements.
oWork closely with Project Management, Sales, and Field Installers to gather the required information to produce project documentation and accurate Estimates.
