POSITION
Summary:
The Assistant General Counsel at SFC will support the Companies' businesses by assisting the General Counsel in executing legal and administrative tasks including drafting and reviewing various documents and contracts.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Draft, review, interpret a wide range of documents from varied service agreements, retail/office leases, SOWs, letters of intent, confidentiality agreements, and other industry related legal contracts Contribute to the identification, research, analysis, and communication of key legal and regulatory issues to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations Assist the General Counsel in negotiating contracts and maintaining client relationships Perform routine administrative work such as:
scanning, copying, preparing, creating legal templates, maintaining legal files and calendars, etc.
Proof documents and correspondence for legal form and grammar Develop and track comprehensive contract repository system Review and update various risk management, human resources, marketing, and social media legal materials Support the General Counsel with other duties as assigned CORE COMPETENCIES:
Strong understanding and experience in areas of general commercial law Effective negotiation, communication (oral and written), and drafting skills Thorough understanding of business and contract law and methods of legal research Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution and decision-making skills Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple, high priority projects with keen attention to detail The ability to multi-task and autonomously manage multiple work streams at one time Ability to leverage technology to promote efficiency and results Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and across different functional groups, teams, and reporting lines Ability to work effectively and independently in a fast-paced environment that demands a high degree of collaboration, flexibility, and responsiveness The ability to take and execute direction Strong networking and interpersonal skills MINIMUM
Qualifications:
Law degree (J.
D.
) from an ABA accredited law school, and preferably has an active law license in Florida Experience writing and proofing legal documents such as contracts and agreements Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Demonstrated ability to work under strict deadlines Excellent written and oral communication skills Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Highly professional, organized and detail oriented WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Working environment is fast paced Must be able to lift and/or move up to 15 lbs.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
