Sr Staff Accountant at Tech Data Corporation in Clearwater, FL
General Purpose of Position Work within the staff accounting team to provide operational accounting support to both Sales and Administrative teams. Summary of Essential Job Functions General Ledger analysis and reconciliations Bank reconciliations Expense analysis for year end Tax audit requests Assist with annual financial audit Provide back up for other areas in the Accounting dept. Prepare commission Calculations, to include entry of information from Billings Report to Excel Spreadsheet and data entry to PC/Payroll. Sales Tax reporting for 31 states. General Ledger analysis and reconciliations monthly Process credit memos in Accounting system Expense analysis for year end Tax audit requests Provide back up for other areas in the Accounting dept Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting 5-7 years progressive accounting experience 4 years of general ledger experience Experience maintaining integrity and accuracy of accounting data Can effectively use MS Office Suite, intermediate MS Excel skills Ability to analyze complex data Ability to problem solve Ability to manage competing priorities and be deadline driven Experience effectively collaborating with team and other employees in an organization Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to positively interact with internal and external contacts to provide excellent support and service Ability to work independently Preferred Qualifications CPA a plus Exposure to multi-state sales tax administration Experience with MS Dynamics NAV Cultural Competency Requirements:
