Front-end Mobile Developer (Remote)
Full Time Positions - $80,000 Maximum (NO Contractors for this role)

Falcon is seeking a front-end UI developer to work remotely on a project with the Department of Veteran's Affairs. Please review the job requirements carefully before applying. Candidates that do meet these minimum requirements will not be considered.
Candidates must have experience developing mobile applications and web services. Applies advanced knowledge to complex business issues. Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods. Works on complex problems / projects where analysis of situations or data requires an in depth evaluation of multiple factors. Exercises independent judgment and takes direction within broadly defined policies and practices to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives. Will participate in cross functional initiatives.
Knowledge and Skills:
o Mobile application development
o Knowledge and experience with object-oriented programming in JavaScript
o Knowledge and experience of Gradle, Node.js, and Grunt for compiling and deployment
o Front-end coding including JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
o Experience working with MVC frameworks, MySQL databases and web 2.0 app development
o Utilization of libraries including jQuery, YUI, and more
o Experience with XML / SOAP / Web Services and/or development experience using PhoneGap or Appcelerator Titanium a plus
o Collaborative team player that can also take instructions and just go with it alone when needed.
o Java Developer skills, spring, hibernate, jpa, rest web service development, xml skills including xlst and XQuery, experience with current JS technologies such as jQuery and bootstrap
o Experience with Maven and Git and understanding of Continuous integration
o Experience with AJAX and JavaScript frameworks like jQuery, YUI, or Dojo
o Proficiency with HTML and CSS and how to integrate in a standards-based fashion with each other and JavaScript
o Experience with cross-platform (mobile, desktop/laptop, tablet) and cross-browser development.
o Experience with JSON and RESTful web services
o Experience with User Centered Design
o Understanding of agile software development lifecycle
o Understanding of Web-development tools for new applications
o Understanding of modern software design and development methodologies (e.g., OO)
o Experience on multiple full release project life cycles
o Understanding of modern SCM (software configuration management)
o Understanding of testing tools and unit test and integration test scripting, and testing methodologies.
o Experience using an Integrated Development Environment (e.g., Eclipse, Visual Studio) and development of tool add-ins
o Able to define quality and security standards. Good verbal and written communication skills
o Ability to work effectively in a globally dispersed team and with clients and vendors
Responsibilities:
o Participates as a member of the development team.
o Completes development to implement complex components.
o Participates in cross-functional teams.
o Designs, prepares and executes unit tests, software design documents and other documentation as necessary by the client.
o Applies in-depth or broad technical knowledge to provide solutions across one or more technology areas (e.g. Web-site Development).
o Consults with team members and other organizations, clients and vendors on complex issues.
o Completes development of units with designs prepared by more senior developers
o Participates in code reviews
o Prepares and executes unit tests.
o Applies growing technical knowledge to maintain a technology area (e.g. Web-site Development)
o Performs work assigned by others
o Accountable for own work
Requirements:
o Bachelor's Degree: computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline is required
o 5 Years' experience
o 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education
o At least 1 year of experience with Backbone is required
o At least 1 year of experience with HTML5 is required
o At least 1 year of experience with Grunt, Node.js, Bower, and CSS is preferredEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
