Research, design, install, administer, and optimize the company servers, networks, computers, security, server applications, services, etc. and related components to ensure the highest levels of availability, redundancy, scalability and security. This individual also participates in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure system provisioning and maintenance that is consistent with company goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Strategy & Planning
Develop strategies for scalable, redundant client/server implementations; architect the infrastructure required to support those strategies.
Coordinate and collaborate network engineering, business application, and database administration function to ensure availability, reliability, and scalability of corporate servers to meet business demands.
Participate in capacity planning and the development of long-term strategic goals for systems and software in conjunction with end-users and department managers.
Acquisition & Deployment
Conduct research on server/network hardware, software, and protocols in support of procurement and development efforts.
Coordinate network engineering, business application, and database administration functions to implement desktop and server systems that utilize industry best practices to meet corporate objectives.
Deploy workstations, servers, printers, scanners, firewalls, routers, switches, encryption systems, and all host security systems.
Operational Management
Manage communications (e-mail, IM, PBX) and connection solutions, including workstation connectivity, local area networks, company Web site, intranet, and Internet applications.
Check help desk database for entries on server and server resource issues; prioritize and respond to help desk tickets as appropriate.
Perform file system configuration and management; define and perform server backups and recovery procedures.
Plan and implement network and server upgrades, maintenance fixes, and vendor-supplied patches.
Manage end user accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage allocations in accordance with industry standards and best-practices.
EDUCATIONAL/BACKGROUND NEEDED:
Minimum of 5-7 years in a midsize or larger enterprise IT environment in a senior technical analytical role.
COMPUTER SKILLS
5-7 years of progressive experience with Windows and Linux systems administration in an enterprise environment
Advanced knowledge of Windows Servers, Linux, Exchange, AD
Advanced knowledge of Cisco switches, routers, firewalls and enterprise networking and topologies.
Exceptional abilities at load-balancing and clustering, iSCSI and fibre SAN.
Advanced knowledge of VMware, Dell and HP servers.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
