Summary:
As a member of the Application Development team, this individual shall be responsible for analysis, design, development and maintenance OF Client Server applications, web-based applications, stored procedures and reports.
As an individual contributor, they shall be responsible for development and implementation of leading edge, business-oriented IT solutions.
As a lead contributor, they shall be expected to mentor and positively influence department associates technical and non-technical skills.
MAJOR
Responsibilities:
Collaborates and coordinates with Application Development management, technical, and business organization team members to define, execute, and implement agreed upon development strategy for strategic business initiatives through the full software development life cycle (SDLC).
Participate and lead as a technical programming resource in both development and maintenance of business information systems. Responsibilities include contributions as an individual contributor and contributions as a team leader for analysis, design and development of business systems.
Independently analyze and develop effective technical business solutions. Strong ability to document and communicate the solution vision, approach, work breakdown and plan.
Follow appropriate structured software development and project management controls, methodologies and standards. Understand and adhere to all software standards.
Work closely with full IT team; Database, Infrastructure and System Support teams to provide development support for a 24x7, mission-critical environment.
Work with end-users, IT and other impacted areas to plan and prepare for implementation.
Comply fully with all government standards and regulations, including, but not limited to HIPPA, Medicare, and Medicaid.
Establish and document appropriate project task lists and implementation schedules. Reviews lists and schedules as appropriate with project management, business analyst and client users and obtain consensus and approval.
Participate in and conduct design and code reviews, development and execution of quality assurance plans to ensure the systems ability to meet business requirements is fully and rigorously tested.
Provide courteous and timely support through open communications.
Qualifications/Skills:
Minimum 8 years Professional Software Development (SDLC) Minimum 5 years VB.NET Minimum 5 years SQL Minimum 5 years Stored Procedures Development Minimum 5 years Microsoft Office Suite Minimum 3 years in Technical Leadership Role Minimum 2 years Microsoft VB6 Minimum 2 years ASP.NET Minimum 2 years SSRS Development Excellent oral and written communications skills Ability to understand business issues and processes and relate them to computer based solutions Knowledge of computer and communications processing at the high-range, network and PC levels BS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent discipline or a combination of education and experienceEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
